Dear
Quinnite,
Paul Quinn has
been good to us and now it is time for us to give back. The
Classes in Reunion Committee and the Office of Alumni and
Parent Relations cordially invite you to the celebratory and
reminiscent Classes in Reunion Weekend slated for
Friday, May 23-25, 2008.
Each year we
invite all classes to attend this celebration. During the 2008
commencement service, we will honor the 1958 Golden, 1983
Silver, and 1998 Purple anniversary classes. Our honored
classes and all classes ending in 3 and 8 will be recognized by
marching in the processional with the 2008 graduating class. This
tradition was launched a few years ago, and each year we work to
expand the celebration so it will continue. For commencement, all
participants are asked to meet at 10:00 a.m. in the John Hurst Adams
Building on the third floor for photo session. We will line up for
the processional at 10:30 a.m. The attire is black dresses or dark
suites and white blouses, or shirts.
The Classes in
Reunion event will serve many purposes. It is a way of seeing old
friends, having fun and raising money for our alma mater. In
addition, we would like to honor Dr. Weldon J. Walton, by
presenting a scholarship in his name to the college with funds
raised from this event. We are asking alumni to contribute a
minimum donation of
$125.
This will include all activities and contribution to the
Weldon J. Walton
Scholarship.
There will be several events throughout the weekend and prizes for
categories such as:
As Paul Quinn
College celebrates “136 Years of Greatness: One Step at a
Time,” she challenges all alumni to reach back and come
forth . . . forever like a beacon light!
If you desire to attend the Classes in Reunion
Weekend Celebration, please RSVP via telephone at 214-302-3503 or
email at

no later than Monday, May
15,
2008.
Every Quinnite, Every Year!
