INSTITUTIONAL GRANTS
 

Presidential Scholarships

Eligibility:       Incoming Freshman who graduated in top ten percent of their Class with a 3.50 GPA and scored 1200 on SAT or 24 ACT. Recipient and parents must interview with the President for final approval.

Renewal:        Must maintain 3.50 GPA at end of the academic school year.

Amount:         Amount up to cost of Tuition, Room & Board per academic year.

Yvonne Ewell SAT/ACT Incentive Scholarships

Eligibility:       Incoming Freshman with SAT scores between 1000 and 1199 or 20 ACT and 3.00 G.P.A.

                         Renewal:        Must attain 2.50 G.P.A. by end of freshman year, and maintain 3.00 GPA by
                         the end of the sophomore­ senior year. 

Amount:         Amount up to cost of Tuition per academic year.

Academic Excellence Scholarships

Eligibility:       Junior or Senior majoring in Computer Science, Pre-Medicine or Engineering, must have 3.00 cumulative GPA. and successfully pass the THEA test prior to applying for scholarship.

Renewal:        Must maintain 3.00 GPA each academic year. 

Amount:         Amount up to cost of Tuition per academic year.

Fernandez Assistance Grant-In-Aid

Eligibility:       Available to students who meet the citizenship status requirements by Department of Education for Title IV Federal Financial Aid Programs; and with 2.00 GPA.

Renewal:        Maintain 2.50 GPA at the end of the academic year.     

Amount:         Amount up to cost of Tuition per academic year.

Residential Assistants Grant-In-Aid

Eligibility:       Must have 2.50 GPA and lived in the dorm for one semester with 15 earned credit hours.

Renewal:        Upon the recommendation of the Dean of Student; must maintain 2.50.

Amount:         Amount up to cost of on-campus room and board.

 

W.C. Fuller Grant-In-Aid

Eligibility:      Available to students who demonstrate exceptional financial need as determined by the Director of Financial Aid.  Students of the freshman year and pass THEA Test by end of sophomore year.

RRenewal:       NOT AUTOMATICALLY RENEWABLE-STUDENT MUST REAPPLY ANNUALLY.

Amount:        Amount is based on the availability of funds.


Choir/Jazz Scholarship

Eligibility:      Students with exceptional abilities and skills in voice and music. Scholarship recipients will be required to     participate in all choir/jazz related activities.

Renewal:       Student must reapply each semester and have 2.50 cumulative GPA. 

Amount:       Amount varies.


Athletic Grant-in-Aid

Eligibility:       Available to students with outstanding abilities in football, basketball, baseball, volleyball, and track. All scholarships are made through recommendation from respective Coaches and approved by the Director or Athletics. 

Renewal:       Students must maintain a 2.30 G.P.A. and be recommended by the Athletic Director. 

Amount:         Amount up to the cost of Tuition, Books, Fees, and Room & Board per academic year.


Minnie K. Patton Scholarship

Eligibility:      Available to students with demonstrated financial need as determined by the Director of Financial Aid. Applicants must complete a donor application, which is available in the Office of Student Financial Aid; must have 2.50 GPA. 

Renewal:       NOT AUTOMATCALLY RENEWABLE-STUDENTS MUST REAPPLY ANNUALLY.

Amount:        Amount up to Varies.


George W. Brackenridge Fund

Eligibility:       Available to students who have demonstrated exception financial need as determined by the Director of Financial Aid. Students must maintain a 2.00 GPA.

Renewal:         NOT AUTOMATCALLY RENEWABLE-STUDENTS MUST REAPPLY ANNUALLY.

Amount:         Amount is based on the availability of funds.


UNCF Scholarships & Internships

Eligibility:      Request information from the Paul Quinn College Scholarship Coordinator.

Renewal:         NOT AUTOMATICALLY RENEWABLE-STUDENTS MUST REAPPLY ANNUALLY.

   Amount:         Amount Varies.
