March 29-30, 2008, the athletic department will host soccer and cheerleader/dance tryouts. Soccer tryouts will be held on the football field from 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 29. Cheerleader/Dance tryouts will be held in the gymnasium from 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 29. On Sunday, March 30, soccer will hold tryouts from 3:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. |

8 DISD Students inked to play at Paul Quinn. National Signing Day was Wednesday, February 6, 2008. National Signing Day is the first day recruits are allowed to sign letters of intent to play intercollegiate athletics. The Dallas Independent School District hosted their event at the Ellis Davis Field House. Paul Quinn College made its presence felt with a big splash, by signing five young ladies from South Oak Cliff High School and 3 young ladies from W.W. Samuel High School to participate in basketball, volleyball and track/field. The South Oak Cliff signees are Ashley Williams, Toni Yancy, Jasmine Colbert, Broshun Moore and Mikeia Washington. W.W. Samuell signees are Sherina Brown, Samantha Clark, and Tiffany Brown. |

Track & Field Team Paul Quinn College’s Adolphus Jones heads to the NAIA National Indoor Championships in Johnson City, Tennessee. Mr. Jones is ranked 9th in the nation in the 400 meter run, Coach Joe Murphy and Donnell Esdaille with accompany him as he competes in this national meet on March 4, 2008. |

Basketball The Langton University Lions visited the Tigers Den on Saturday, February 23, 2008. The Men’s team revenged a loss earlier this season by beating the Lions by a score of 88-77. The Men’s team is preparing for the tournament as they are positioned 3rd in the RRAC.
February 25 “Senior Night” versus Bacone University, is the last home game of the season, game times women 6:00 p.m. men 8:00 p.m. We have 7 seniors who will be playing their last intercollegiate basketball game on this night. Many of you have never seen these students play, so please honor and support them by being present on this day. COME AND SUPPORT YOUR FIGHTING TIGERS! |

Soccer The Paul Quinn College Athletic Department is introducing Men’s and Women’s Soccer. Our goal is to provide another extracurricular activity to enhance student involvement. FCA The Fellowship of Christian Athletes will host, “A Weekend of Champions”, at the Sky Ranch in Van, Texas. The Athletic Department will participate by taking 3 students to assist in the workshops with Dallas area middle schools and high schools. This activity is part of our commitment to service the community. |
