Growing up in a small town with older parents, I heard about values and having a good name almost every day. Being a person of action, I always felt there should be “actions” to back up your values and good name. I feel there should be a special project where you can leave a part of yourself forever. Paul Quinn College is that special project for me! Throughout my career, I have experienced the many cycles of real estate. With each cycle, I always felt I was growing and receiving strength and knowledge for the next project. As I look back, I see that every experience was preparing me to take good care of Paul Quinn College. I love to wake up in the morning and know I am on my way to campus. Interacting with the students is the best part of my day!
These different venues have given me the opportunity to write procedure and training manuals, emergency procedures, and develop long-term relationships with the police, fire, and city officials in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. I have developed skills in operational budget forecasting, finance, human resources, problem resolution, construction, and staff training. Every experience prepared me for overseeing our beautiful campus.
I am married to my soul mate, Don, and we have one son, Wesley. Wesley and his wife, Erin, live in the Dallas area. Don and I also have two very spoiled dogs, Precious and Gracie.
It is a challenge and an honor to be a part of the Paul Quinn College history and the Quinnite Nation. Go Tigers!
