Paul Quinn College's students are now the newest members of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP). AFP informed the College that the AFP Board of Directors “unanimously accepted the AFP TX, Paul Quinn Collegiate Chapter.” Serving as the seat of the 231st AFP chapter, Paul Quinn recently announced the establishment of its Center for Fundraising and Philanthropy.
“This is another landmark moment in the transformation of Paul Quinn College,” said Michael J. Sorrell, Esq., president of Paul Quinn College. “Our ability to offer our students experiences such as membership in America’s premier fundraising organization is a concrete step towards our goal of becoming one of this country’s great small colleges.”
“We are proud to have the Paul Quinn Collegiate Chapter join the AFP community,” said Andrew Watt, FInstF, president and CEO of AFP. “The future of our profession and all of philanthropy rests in the hands of young people who bring great energy, new perspectives and a passion for changing the world. We look forward to working with the chapter and its first president, Anita Crethers, and I welcome all of them to AFP and the exciting world of fundraising!”
