Students from the Dallas area, Waco, and Detroit will converge on Paul Quinn College on Feb. 15 and 16 for Prospective Quinnite Weekend and Saturday College. Prospective Quinnite Weekend gives students the opportunity to experience the College, first hand, with free meals, an overnight stay, and samples of the College’s signature Quinnite Leadership class. The weekend will also include the monthly Saturday College, which will focus on social entrepreneurship and financial literacy. Saturday College will take place on Feb. 16 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. in the Grand Lounge on Paul Quinn’s campus.
“Prospective Quinnite Weekend is a vital part of our aggressive student recruitment initiative. PQW allows us to introduce the ethos and more of the Quinnite Nation in a more interactive fashion," said President Michael J. Sorrell, Esq. “Our goal is to build one of America's great small colleges; our ability to attract strong students nationally is central to our strategy."
Over 100 students will attend the weekend’s activities. Sixty students will travel from Detroit’s Osborn Preparatory Academy and Cristo Rey High School to enjoy the weekend. There will be two more Prospective Quinnite Weekends on March 22 and 23, during the annual Spring Fest, and May 2 through 4, during Commencement Weekend.
