Library/Learning Resource Center is a member of The American Library
Association (ALA), The Texas Library Association –Texas Independent
College and University Libraries (TICUL) and The HBCU Library
Alliance. As a member of TexShare- The Texas State Library and
Archives resource sharing and online consortium, students and
faculty have access to the holdings and reciprocal borrowing
privileges of public, academic, and clinical medicine libraries
throughout the state.

There are approximately 35,750
print titles, 1,090 media titles
including DVD, VHS, audio tapes, slides, and CD-ROM,
and microforms.
The
library houses the Distance Education and Open Access Computer Labs,
the Media, Ethnic Cultural, and the Faculty Development Centers, the
Learner Assessment Program, and College Archives. The year 2007
brought about several changes in the library starting with the
dedication of The Hiawatha Williams Entrepreneurial Leadership
Center for students interested in the field of business. The
Distance Education Lab underwent major technological changes during
the summer and early fall of 2007 when it was outfitted with the
THUNDER™ Flipchart System and 20 new computers to accommodate
students enrolled in distance courses and information literacy
sessions.
The College
Archives houses the rich history of the college and the 10th
Episcopal District of the African Methodist Episcopal Church in
Texas.
