Center for Fundraising & Philanthropy

Today’s college and university students are tomorrow’s professional fundraisers.  These are the individuals who will be the workforce that will change the world, one gift at a time.

As one of the few institutions of higher learning in America and the only Historically Black College or University (HBCU) in America to offer this degree option, Quinnites receiving this degree will begin their professional careers with a very real advantage over their competition. The international demand for fundraising professionals and the rising popularity of philanthropy has fueled the creation of this highly innovative new discipline.

The study of Fundraising and Philanthropy leads to careers in institutional advancement for colleges and universities, event planning, foundation leadership, and grant writing and development.

Created by two of the leading authorities and authors on fundraising research and practice, Dr. Marybeth Gasman of the University of Pennsylvania and Nelson Bowman III of Prairie View A&M University, this program is designed to meet the needs of our undergraduates or any  fundraising professional, no matter what level of experience they have, the opportunity to enrich their skills and add to their knowledge base.
